IME Advisory Board

Mission Statement

The Mission of the Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering Advisory Board, originated in November, 1993, is to help ensure the excellence in our educational agendas by providing advice, counsel, recommendations, and suggestions to the Department, and where necessary, input to the College of Engineering, on matters concerning direction, strategy and meeting the customer needs of the future.

Purpose

The stated purpose from the Cal Poly President is (1) to serve as a communication link between the Department's members and its outside constituencies, (2) to assist the Department in developing and implementing its goals, (3) to help keep the Department up to date on current and future needs of graduates, (4) to help leaders from outside the university better understand the Department's mission, and (5) to assist the Department in seeking public and private support.
