Over 35 years in the oil and gas industry, the scope of which includes engineering, project investment analysis, field operations, upstream oil and gas mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and international project finance. Currently is the Director of Petroleum Operations for Watt Mineral Holdings, which is part of Watt Companies, one of the nation’s largest owners, developers, and managers of commercial real estate. Also works on a consulting basis in various operating positions with independent oil and gas producers in California. Was with Unocal Corporation for almost 30 years, working in various international executive positions in operations and finance.
Lecturer at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo since 2006
Research Interests
Sustainability, specifically as it relates to the production and manufacturing of compostable, plant-based plastics.
Project optimization through various modeling techniques.
Quantitative applications in the area of finance.
