Biography

Dr. Duha Ali joined Cal Poly after graduating her Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Auburn University. Prior to her academic pursuit, Dr. Ali worked as a Programs Manager for several years in Jordan, her home country. Additionally, Dr. Ali holds a Graduate Certificate in Occupational Human Factors, Safety and Ergonomics from Auburn University and a Bachelor’s in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Jordan University of Science and Technology.

Dr. Ali managed and worked on numerous projects that ranged in both scope and budget. Her engagement with these projects spanned the entire project lifecycle, and her expertise extended to managing projects budgets in excess of $3M, coordinating the activities of international, multilingual diverse teams and leading complex transformation initiatives. She has expertise working with private, governmental, and non-governmental organizations and institutions in different sectors and industries, including healthcare, education, manufacturing, social and behavioral change, energy, environment, technology, and occupational human factors, safety and ergonomics.
