The IME Earn-by-Doing Program transforms students into highly skilled, workforce-ready engineers, by putting them to work while they learn. Through paid, part-time roles as lab technicians, students directly support hands-on, student-led projects that mirror real-world manufacturing environments.
Your support enables students to gain critical hands-on experience, including CNC machining, CAD/CAM, welding, casting, soldering, and automation programming skills that are in high demand and short supply.
But the impact goes beyond technical training. Students in the program develop leadership, mentorship, and problem-solving abilities as they guide peers and contribute to collaborative innovation.
