Rick Damiani has spent more than 30 years teaching, applying, and supporting manufacturing technology. He has trained students, engineers, technicians, and manufacturing professionals in CNC machining, CAD/CAM, additive manufacturing, laser cutting, robotics, and industrial automation. Before joining Cal Poly, he developed and delivered technical training at Boston Dynamics and spent more than 25 years as an applications engineer helping manufacturers and educational institutions implement new technologies.

Rick has also taught Mastercam at Glendale Community College and engineering in the U.S. Navy. He focuses on making complex manufacturing technologies practical and accessible through hands-on instruction, with particular interests in CNC machining and programming, CAD/CAM, robotics, additive manufacturing, and manufacturing education.
